BioSimon Waring’s personal experience of oncology and palliative care has driven his efforts in palliative care advocacy, and as a member of Palliative Care Australia’s national consumer and carer panel, Simon hopes to contribute to the continued growth, promotion and acceptance of palliative care.

BioTara is a wife to Anthony and mother to three daughters. Two earth side and bereaved of Emma in 2011. An early childhood teacher with experience working and volunteering in early childhood, neonatal, child life, peer bereavement and paediatric palliative care.

BioRachel is deeply passionate about Paediatric Palliative care, due to her own lived experience as a mother to a daughter with a rare condition. After Evie's death in 2010, Rachel, a wedding portrait photographer, shifted her lens to capture and celebrate children like Evie. This started her on a whole new career path and trajectory.
Palliative Medicine Consultant
BioAbbie qualified in Medicine from The University of Edinburgh in 2000, before undertaking training in Surgery. She moved to Australia in 2005 to be nearer to her husband, and have subsequently undertaken further training in a very wide range of fields, culminating in completing training in General Practice and then Adult Palliative Medicine.

BioWith a background as a social worker, Alyson Gundry has worked since 2020 as the Allied Health Clinical Lead in the E-Paediatric Palliative Care Service (E-PPCS), a service component of the Paediatric Palliative Care Service (PPCS), at Queensland Children’s Hospital, Brisbane.
Associate Professor
BioAssociate Professor Jenny Hynson is Head of the Victorian Paediatric Palliative Care Program, a state-wide service for children with palliative care needs based at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
Acting Nursing Service Director
BioBec is the Acting Nursing Service Director of the State wide Paediatric Palliative Care Service at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in South Australia. She has a Graduate Diploma in Palliative Care, Graduate Certificate in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing and Diploma of Leadership & Management.
Aboriginal Health Worker
BioTanya is the Palliative Care & Chronic and Complex Needs Aboriginal Health Worker (AHW) at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (SCHN).
